Solo Vocalist/Guitarist singing both in English and Spanish. No backing tracks used in performance. Act suits the laid back atmosphere of restaurants, jazz cafes, cocktail bars, corporate and private functions where no over the top music is required. Juan-Jose is a quality entertainer who enjoys his craft to the max. He loves singing and song writing and has a wealth of experience as a soloist, in duos and as a front man performing to music as diverse as Contemporary Dance music, Blues, Jazz and Latin. The last three being his favourites. His music career spans over 25 years, not only as a singer, but as a rhythm guitarist, percussionist and a committed song writer crossing traditional feels with modern western rhythms. Juan-Jose works as a freelance musician performing quality standards and his own material which has also been aired on SBS TV show (Fat Pizza). A significant learning period in his artistic life was his early tuition at the School of Creative Arts in Wollongong where he learned Jazz improvisation under the masterful guidance of Don Harper, one of Australia’s best Jazz Violin players and Jazz fundamentals at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Juan-Jose has performed in venues such as The Basement, night spots at The Rocks, Sydney’s Star City Casino, Thredbo Sky Resort, The National Folk Festival, ABC Radio Broadcast, Queensland resorts and various other clubs and restaurants in the South Coast and in Sydney as well as supported acts like Gangajan and Jenny Morris. One man, voice and guitar, nothing else. Juan-Jose’s love of music and his desire to share it with his audience is evident in the high standard of his work, laid back yet lively soulful entertainment for any enterprise looking for quality performance and product excellence. |
